This a complete WWII German Army cavalry set consiting of the following: Saddle, two saddle bags, set of cavalry boots with spurs (one of the spur straps is broken), one horse shoe, a horse shoe tool (dated 1934), bits, a horse comb and a horse grooming tool. All items are original WWII German production. The saddle and saddle bags are well marked with Waffenamps, maker codes and dated. The saddle is stamped bmd 44 and the saddle bags are dta 41. The corded belly strap under the saddle is a professionally made replacement...as all originals are long ago rotted away. The leather stirup straps may also be new made replacememnts. An interestging note: The original canvas underneath the saddle displays a red edge line that is often seen on canvas MP magazine pouches made during the same period. Everything else is original. Displays incrterdibly well!  
 
Saddle stand is not included. Item is located at the Portland location.
