Order of Polonia Restituta; Breast Star - in silver, center in silver gilt and enamels, 73mm, of Polish manufacture, hallmarked, contained within fitted case of issue. The Order of Polonia Restituta is one of Poland's highest orders, it was abolished in 1918 due to abuses by the Russian government. In 1921, the order was re-established with its first Grand Master, Marshal Józef Piłsudski. This order is awarded to Polish civilians, soldiers, and foreigners for outstanding achievements.
